Tutor Time

Statement from founder: "Tutor Time is a tutoring program we started as an extension of the Bellevue Highschool Science Olympiad Team.As members of the BHS SciOly team, we've gained invaluable study skills and been able to grow in unimaginable ways. We are devoted to learning and are incredibly grateful for all the opportunities our community has given us that have allowed us to be successful and continue gathering knowledge. In order to give back as well as share our passion for learning, we decided to create this program."

Tips To Get Started with Your Own Tutoring Program!

  • Create a shared document to stay organized (OneNote works great!)

  • Choose a tutoring subject, and pitch your idea to fellow classmates & teachers!

  • Email is your friend! Message parents and principles (from local schools) about your program, and ask if they would be interested in collaborating!

  • Find a meeting location! Schedule conference rooms at your local library, or any location of convenience

  • Establish clear lines of communication by making a schedule (or website to post updates)

  • Keep at it! Just because no one shows up the first week doesn't mean you should give up the whole project
